Looking over a stack of my favorite books in front of me I am amazed at how far my business abilities have come over the last several years. (I started online, as a stay at home mom, with zero training and zero business knowledge) I really have to thank Robert Kiyosaki, author of ‘Rich Dad Poor Dad', and many others that have educated me along the way. They have pushed me to assume responsibility and take control of my own business.
I'm guessing you probably have about the same stack of business books as I do. What I want to know is if they have helped you change your mindset. You can read all the high powered business books you like and join all the millionaire clubs online you want but true success takes changing form within.
Robert Kiyosaki says, "...in response to the question "how do I start?" I offer the thought process I go through on a day-by-day basis. It really is easy to find great deals. I promise you that. It's just like riding a bike. After a little wobbling, it's a piece of cake. But when it comes to money, it's the determination to get through the wobbling that's a personal thing.”
So what do you need? Change and Determination!
Believing you are in business isn't enough. Acting like your in business isn't enough. There comes a time you have to crossover and actually take ownership of your life. Are you in business or just playing around? NO one can answer this for you. You are going to have to change the way you think and live life and that's a personal thing.
I will never forget the first huge online opportunity I joined. I paid my money for a fast and easy system then told all my friends I was in business. If you could have seen the looks I got. (Maybe you have got a few blank stares yourself.) Friends and family just could not believe I had the nerve to call myself an entrepreneur. But I was determined to change myself into what I wanted to be. In a years time I read well over 100 business books. I changed my circle of friends to people already running successful online businesses. Then I dug in my heels and learned html, web graphics, online audio, email marketing, ezine publishing and a number of other things just to get closer to my goals.
Ok and when I look back it is pretty funny. I really did start out with no business education what so ever and knowing zip about the internet. My brother had to sit me down and teach me marketing 101. But what I did have was determination. Remember determination is going to get you through the wobbling. And as I am sure you have experienced there is a lot of wobbling building yourself into an online business owner. I just wish wobbling wasn't so expensive. It seems to be every time you wobble even a little it cost you time or money.
Just don't let your efforts be pointless. Learn from everything you do and change for the better. At some point you are going to crossover from that wannabe online entrepreneur to true business success. I knew I was there the day my brother, an international businessman, went from teaching me marketing 101 to asking if he could be my partner in the latest niche I discovered. You too are going to make it just be determined to crossover.
